Our Projects
St Therese's
Southern Plumbing delivered flood-mitigation works at St Therese’s School to address overland flow across the grounds. The project involved upgrading stormwater infrastructure and installing grated drainage systems to improve surface water capture, reduce inundation risk, and maintain safe site conditions during heavy rainfall events.

Works Completed
Stormwater Drainage Upgrade
Supply and installation of new stormwater drainage including 100-300mm pipework, grated pits (200–600 mm), and new manholes across the site to improve site runoff collection. Pipework was regraded and redirected to ensure positive discharge to downstream connection points, preventing surcharge within the school grounds.
Flood Mitigation Works
Modification and regrading of existing drainage infrastructure, including additional access points and overflow provisions, to increase system capacity and relieve surcharge conditions during heavy rainfall events by eliminating low points and improving overall hydraulic performance.
Surface Water Control
Provision of drainage to hardstand and recreation areas including tennis courts and carpark, directing flows through kerb openings and grated pits to the underground drainage system. Site levels and connection points were adjusted to ensure runoff bypasses buildings and disperses safely to downstream infrastructure.
